I bought this receiver to use with my speaker setup in the bedroom. I didn't want a cable dragging across the carpet, and needed a receiver that ran on USB C - this was a perfect fit; I wired up the RCA cables to my amp, plugged in the USB power, and away I went! Pairing via Bluetooth was nice and simple to my Google TV, and I was pleasantly surprised by the minimal amount of latency between the TV and audio.

I just turn on my amp and it connects, which is all I wanted - no fussing, no beeping, it just works!

this is by far the best 100 bucks I ever spent. here is why . the sound is amazing. it gives you XLR outs that works with my sound system in a lot of settings . the sound coming out of those XLR outs are crystal clear. and there is absolutely no noise even with the large professional speakers such as QSC k12, and line array.
I used them with behringer wing, Midas and presonus and I was very impressed. I also used them with my home surround and stereo systems . with high end unforgiving speakers such as B&W, Vienna Acoustics etc
but the best part is the customer service.
I bought one device, more than a year ago and suddenly the xlr outs stopped working while both the analog and optic outs still worked . because I loved it so much I bought another one the same day but before it arrived I decided to send a message to the customer service and told them what happened
. within couple of hours I get a response from them saying " can you let us replace it for free" and of course I said yes , they asked me for the order number and a picture of the device which I provided. then they sent me a brand new one and told me to keep the old one even though I told him I bought a new one they still sent me the replacement. This is great customer service and a great product. Now I will keep the Three devices since I love t mm so much.

Receiving audio over Bluetooth 5.2 with aptX HD and aptX Adaptive support keeps the stream stable and clean without background noise, hiss or drops...

The continuous USB-C power design means the receiver stays on and ready on the cabinet without cutting out, auto sleeping, or a battery that dies. It also supports dual device connection, letting you stay paired to a phone and a laptop simultaneously so switching playback sources is seamless.
The total lack of electronic pairing beeps or loud voice prompts when connecting means it stays completely silent through your speakers until you actually hit play.

It functions strictly as an audio receiver though, so you cannot use it to send sound from a TV out to wireless headphones. The tiny plastic casing is also exceptionally lightweight, meaning stiffer RCA cables can easily drag the unit around on the desk if they are not weighted down or positioned properly.

All in all though, its simple, cost effected solution that brings older amplifiers up to modern tech without any annoying notification noises. Pretty much just plug and play.

Bought this unit accidentally thinking it had audio inputs for optical but it is output only. But I I liked how well it performed so much I kept it anyway. It really breathes new life into your streaming. Just make sure you’re streaming at high quality from the base source. Automatically pairs silently and looks fantastic. Just wish it had optical or coax digital inputs for a cd player, but regardless you get a lot of bang for your buck. Highly recommended.

I have an audio setup with a Samsung Q80T QLED TV paired with a Yamaha RX-V681 AVR connected to five ceiling speakers and a subwoofer. Before I bought this Blafili B3 receiver, the Bluetooth was the weak link in our setup. The Yamaha RX-V681 was limited to either the AAC or SBC codecs, while the Samsung TV (via ARC) was SBC-only. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, which supports the high-res LDAC codec. After connecting this to our Yamaha RX-V681 via an optical cable, I can actually notice a significant improvement in audio quality with LDAC enabled. To ensure the maximum quality, I used the Bluetooth Codec Changer app to force the bitrate to 990K and the connection was still stable. I mainly listen to smooth jazz via Apple Music (for which most songs are lossless), and this was well worth it to get the most out of my audio.

Just received and installed this Blafili B3 after a terribly disappointing attempt at a cheap workaround (UGREEN Bluetooth 6.0 Receiver, which was just horrible audio quality and very low output signal).

WOW! This unit sounds great! Used the optical cable to connect to my 15 yr-old Yamaha Receiver. The time from unbox to completed setup/operation was less than 5 minutes; no changes were made during hookup, so this was out-of-the box configuration. I will update my review after several weeks/months to confirm my satisfaction. This is worth the $98.

I replaced a USB powered bluetooth audio adapter with this one, what a difference! The old one was annoying to pair, always had static at low volume, and was low quality. This one is very easy to pair and has excellent audio quality. No static at low volume. I love it!
It is hard wired into the power system, so installation takes some work. But in my situation it was totally worth it.

High-Fidelity Bluetooth Audio with an amazing value

If your are looking for a aesthetically pleasing audio receiver with great output options and extensive Bluetooth codecs support (up to and including LDAC!), you've just found one.

Looks & build:
It features a minimalistic, modern looking metal case with a clear OLED panel that displays current 'source' information, paired with a single multi function button (used to turn the device ON/OFF, enter pairing mode or clear the paired devices list).
The case has a high quality finish and great attention to detail, it's nicely rounded with no rough edges.
On the back, you will find multiple output options, a sleek removable Bluetooth antenna, and a USB-C port.

Connectivity & range:
As a Bluetooth audio receiver, it supports multiple premium codecs, including LDAC (Up to 990 kbps) which will surely satisfy FLAC format fans!
With its external antenna, it provides an excellent range.
However, keep in mind that the highest quality codec - LDAC - will start to degrade if too many obstacles are in the way.
For me, a straight line distance of about 10m through two walls started to cause signal stuttering, but it was just a practical test to see how much of a beating it could take.
In normal everyday use, I tested it at distances up to 15m when streaming from my Android phone (FLAC files over LDAC), it worked perfectly.

Output options are excellent, and it's important to note that all output options are ACTIVE simultaneously if you ever feel the need to connect more than one pair of speakers.
Unlike some competitors on the market, there is no 'volume loss' compared to a direct wired connection.

Sound quality:
The manufacturer decided to use the ES9018K2M DAC chip, which offers an analytical, bright and highly detailed sound profile.

Of course, when tested on $600 pair of speakers it sounds noticeably different than on a $150 system.
I tested it using one of my favorites, "Green Grass & High Tides" by Outlaws. It sounded great on both setups, the integrated DAC managed to pump out the details - especially during the guitar solos, delivering a high fidelity experience that made even the $150 system punch above its weight!
Overall, blafili managed to deliver a great sounding device, that enriches the listening experience and allows even the lower-end speakers to shine (up to their physical limits).

PIN secured pairing & Power User configuration:

I had been looking for a Bluetooth adapter for my speakers which lack wireless connectivity;
after browsing through many tacky, rickety-looking options, mixed-reviewed ones, and overpriced ones,
I finally stumbled on a brief YouTube review of this one, and decided to buy it.

The device is encased in a nice plastic shell with a tight fit. It's very compact and lightweight, but thanks to its rubbery feet, it stays stable.
There is only one button which allows you to enter pairing mode, clear paired devices and serves as a ON/OFF switch.
LED light serves as an indicator - blinking blue and red during pairing; the device also stays perfectly cool during use.

The connection is stable and has very good range (better than my wireless headphones).
I stream music from my laptop and Android phone and I have never experienced any disruptions even when streaming from another floor.
Using the "aptX Adaptive" codec I did not notice any drop in quality compared to a wired connection while using YouTube or basic music streaming services.
Overall it's very easy to pair and switch between streaming devices. I don't even notice that I'm using an adapter, which is a huge plus - there are no annoying added jingles, bells or voices prompts - the LED indicator is more than enough.

The included manual is clear and concise, and they even included a spare USB cable.
The device arrived safely packaged, wrapped in a bubble wrap.

Great Product—Follow the Instructions

This product works flawlessly once properly installed. Important tip: the blue wire is REMOTE OUT, not a remote IN. It sends a signal to turn on your amplifier when audio is detected—do not connect it to your radio’s remote lead.

I paired it with my phone and it performs beautifully. Just be sure to read and follow the instructions closely so you understand how the REMOTE OUT wire functions.

Decent option for a permanently mounted Bluetooth connection

This Bluetooth receiver is perfect for mounting in a vehicle behind the dash or above/below a head unit or amplifier. It's low profile, and conveniently mounts to a flat surface via 2 fasteners on the sides.

I greatly appreciate that there's an inline blade fuse included on the 12V power input, so if you're powering it from a higher amp accessory circuit or piggy-backing an existing audio power circuit, the wiring and unit are protected. Some similar devices use an inline glass fuse, and they can be harder to find replacements for, whereas most vehicles have now have blade fuses and they are readily available.

This unit has a remote out feature, so it can be used to switch on an amplifier to reduce battery draw when not in use (instead of having the amplifier automatically turn on with accessory power). This is a great feature that isn't present in most basic bluetooth receivers.

While the unit outputs via L/R RCA pigtails, it's line level output so you can use an RCA to 3.5mm cable to connect this to a standard AUX input on a car stereo if you require. There is no volume control on this receiver; this device is designed to be used in conjunction with an amplifier with that functionality.

The one minor issue I had is that using this device with a 240V AC to 24V DC power supply introduced noise over the RCA connection if the receiving device was utilising the same power supply. This did not occur if the receiving device was a battery powered speaker, nor when the receiving device received line input from a mobile phone.

The one major issue I had with this bluetooth receiver is that it flashes RED & BLUE LED's. This could land you in trouble if mounted in a visible location in the cabin as use of those colours together flashing in an alternate pattern could draw attention.

As a positive, this receiver does not say "bluetooth connected" voice over the speakers or make any annoying connecting sound (like JBL speakers / generic Chinese bluetooth amps), the lights just change from red/blue flashing to solid blue. I REALLY like this, simple single tone or no sound at all is much less intrusive!

This receiver can be powered by 12V or 24V, so it can be used in ag equipment and commercial vehicles, which is a bonus (no 24V to 12V DC-DC converter required).

Great retro-fit system

This is a great way to add blue-tooth to an existing system without the expensive of a full replacement. It is very easy to install, with clear and colour-coded cabling, reasonably compact unit so easy to find a place to tuck it away, and works great. Pairing is usual routine, sound quality is more than adequate for a car/boat and whole system works great - better than I expected.

Simple no frills way to add BlueToth to older still good radios

This is simple and low cost method to add Bluetooth capability to your older stereo player/car radio/ boat radio / caravan radio / truck radio / tractor radio etc. running on one battery (12V) or two batteries (24V).

Often it is much easier and cheaper, than to replace a still perfectly fine older radio system. Especially if it is a more complex or high quality installation, and you would have to pay a specialist to do the swap.

Another reason is if you do not want the looks of a phone like modern head unit, or do not have the space for it, or simply do not want to be bothered by unwanted and to you useless other features.

Or you simply want to add Bluetooth capability in an invisible hidden away fashion, thereby retaining the original vintage look of your vehicle. Especially if a rare and expensive original vintage radio is involved.

The installation of this Blafili is very simple, I would say right out foolproof.

The product is housed in a partly transparent plastic housing. In bright sunlight you can see through, and it is well made inside. I can recommend it.

So far so good. This little unit supports enough codecs to produce high quality music. I integrated this with an older alpine head unit through its ai-net connector with a separate converter to rca. So far this just works flawlessly, connects to my phone quickly and seems like excellent value for money. Once you connect it just works so is very easy to use.

Works well only issue is sometimes it struggles to connect but other than that when it on it works great. The volume on is great and louder than other BT device I would recommend. Great space saver as you can put it anywhere. The range seem to be decent. So in the end its easy to use and for the price it is worth it. The design is small and compact and durability seems to be great.

I am incredibly impressed with both the Blafili b3 and the team behind it. I reached out to the customer service regarding a technical issue, and they responded promptly and resolved it immediately. Upon request, they instantly provided a download link along with a crystal-clear guide on how to set up a PIN code for the Bluetooth receiver. Brings my old Yamaha receiver into the Bluetooth age

I wanted a simple way to bring Bluetooth into an older stereo setup without replacing equipment that still sounds good.

This does that job well. The RCA output makes it easy to connect to an amp or powered speakers, and the USB-C power keeps the setup clean. I like that it can stay powered on, because I do not want to reconnect and fiddle with it every time I want to play music.

Brought the internet age to an old Marantz stereo receiver.

I purchased this unit to play Sirius XM and Amazon music from my iPhone to an old Marantz receiver in my workshop. One set of RCA plugs connected to the aux input on the receiver and then plugged into the wall using the supplied USB cable and the unit was up and running in pairing mode. The iPhone found the Bluetooth device immediately and it started playing. Five minutes tops from opening the box to music time. The sound quality was excellent. I don’t know how you could beat it for under $20. Highly recommended.

1970 Cutlass now in the internet era.

I used this unit to add Bluetooth to my Classic Car Stereo USA-630 in my 1970 Cutlass. I initially used the Classic Car Stereo Bluetooth adapter but after 2 failed units switched to this Blafili unit. The Blafili installation was straight forward and the unit started up in pairing mode without issue. The iPhone found the Blafili immediately and the sound quality was excellent. I highly recommend this unit.

I discovered this item a few months ago and since have installed at least 10 of them for school gyms, cafetoriums, and churches. The range of the bluetooth is fantastic. These are installed in a metal rack so I'll extend the antenna and will easily cover an entire gym. Their support person, Michael, is awesome and quick to provide information on changing the BT name and applying a pin code. With Denon going by the wayside, this is a great replacement!

Great cost-effective Bluetooth receiver

The R1 is a great device to use for connecting my phone and computer to my receivers, amplifiers, or any audio output device that has RCA input. It is quick to connect, small, and runs off of my cell phone chargers. Sound quality is good and has quite a long range. I have added a picture of the device as well as a video walking through the features and functions. For the price, this is a great value!

This 3/4 inch guitar cable type of connector has a Bluetooth transmitter attached to it. But do not be fooled, this is a high latency Bluetooth connection not made for live performance or anything that requires synchronous timing, such as playing music with a group or for a recording.

Limitation is clearly expressed by the seller in the listing, though so I’ll still give it full marks because it works just fine when you plug it in. It will indeed pair with a Bluetooth device, and when you play notes, they will play through the speaker of the Bluetooth device, just about half a second after you actually hit the note. As long as you’re aware of this limitation, this is a great device for whatever you might need it for.

This Bluetooth XL transmitter is great for if you don’t need to have absolute simultaneous low latency connection to a speaker. Admittedly, this is a rare use case but occasionally this could be true for someone like a DJ or just someone who’s trying to amp up some music at a party or some such type of activity.

Beware, though, if you want this for singing in a live scenario, it is a Bluetooth device with all of the latency at that implies. There will be a noticeable lag between the time when you speak into the microphone and when it comes out of the speakers. The seller is quite upfront about this in the listing though, so I can’t take a point off for this. This is exactly what the device says that it is.

As a complete technical kindergartner, I found this blafili Bicast bluetooth transmitter very intuitive to set up and connect - I simply plugged in it with the provided USB-C cable and it instantly connected with the bluetooth speaker.

Eliminating the need to be connected to whatever output you want to transmit from, you only need to connect this transmitter to your mixing desk or PA system with the XLR connector or your laptop, tablet etc with the USB-C cable, and you can bluetooth audio direct to your speaker or headphones - this is amazing to me as i already mentioned i am “ahem” technologically challenged.

You can see the status and battery levels with the clear LED display, and the battery life seems solid. I was really hoping to use this to connect my bedroom digital TV to a bluetooth speaker, as the audio jack is failing and the TV is not bluetooth enabled. Unfortunately being a not-so-smart TV, while the transmitter and my Bluetooth speaker talked to each other and connected with no issue, I can’t get the TV to talk. This is 100% the TV’s fault. Apparently the multiple high-end codecs should be my way around this so i’m confident one of my techie friends will be able to sort this for me, it’s portable which is another tick ✅ so I’ve already had them confirm it’s an excellent product.

Needs:

I needed a long range bluetooth receiver to hook into a PA system that the name could be customized and add a pin code. This fit the bill. As of writing this review the first one has been in continuous use for 3 months with no issues.

Installation:

This is straight forward. It is a USB-C for power cord but you will need your own power brick. This was not an issue for me since the surge protector has USB power slots. Of the four output options I used the RCA to a small mixer board.

Sound and Range:

The sound is good and clear with no issues. I mounted this in a outdoor metal box since This is for an outdoor booth for music and announcements. The end user has had no issues connecting and staying connected. The second unit I bought I wanted to test distance. I connected to the bluetooth and took a walk. Through walls I was able to walk 90' away and stay connected. I did not have my shoes on or I would have went further. However 90' would be more than sufficient for the distance I needed.

Support:

I emailed support for the instructions to change the bluetooth ID. They are very responsive and sent me links to all the necessary tools with clear instructions on how to modify the name and to add a pin to the receiver. Support for me can be a make or break deal and the support I received was very responsive and helpful.

Value:

The cost is well worth it to offer customers a connection customized to them with the ability to add a pin. It makes it easy for the end user to identify what they are connecting to and the pin keeps random people from playing inappropriate music on the system.

Conclusion:

This will, hands down, be my go to for future installs.

This has been a great device to use to add Bluetooth capability to my old existing home audio system.

It is small and relatively inconspicuous device, except for the blue light at the front which is not a problem for me and isn't distracting at all. It comes with a USB cable for power, but no RCA cable or power brick so be sure to make sure you have those before picking this up.

It also has the ability to play music from through USB like a PC or laptop, which is handy if you prefer playing audio through that than a smartphone. I haven't had any issues with this since setting it up and this was a great solution to be able to stream music from my phone/PC to my home audio system.

Price wise its decent but given the lack of inclusions and other cheaper alternatives on the market you might be better off shopping around if you want to save some coin. I still recommend it, as it's a solid little product.

Stable Bluetooth for RCA devices

I’d previously used Bluetooth to RCA receivers to connect my phone to older hi-fi units to play music.

The advantage of this unit is having a more recent version of Bluetooth with offers a far greater range, and rock solid stability without any noise.

Being powered by USB-C, you can power this unit pretty much anywhere, and it is light enough to tape somewhere out of sight.

Breathe new life into an older audio system by adding this Bluetooth receiver to your setup, allowing you to use your phone for seamless audio streaming.

Wish I knew about this 2 years ago!

I am SOOOOOO happy I found this silent-operation receiver! Every other receiver makes annoying power-on/off and paring tones. Since I use this for my TV, it gets used multiple times a day and those tones would get so annoying, especially because they are very loud. This unit is totally silent. The sound it sends to my powered 2.1 speakers is perfect (you lose a little volume level but that is always true with Bluetooth vs hard-wired). Also there is no delay, which is important for watching TV and movies. I power this with via the usb port on my TV so whenever the TV is off, so is this receiver. It boots up instantly so there is no delay waiting for it. Love it!

Went straight to aptX Adaptive - connected immediately - no need for stupid apps.

This is a five star device. It would be cool if it were metal but I don't care. It's simple and it works. The protocol was automatically chosen as adaptive which is the best one. LDAC would be nice but who cares - if you can actually tell the difference then go be a sommelier and stop using bluetooth.

Great product to breathe new life into a vintage stereo system. I have a 25 year old Sony STR-D1011S. I decided to use the DAT input for the B3 Bluetooth receiver. The blafili B3 is an OUTSTANDING product that has flawless sound and coverage through by entire house. I have it paired with my Google Pixel 10 Pro and used it with several music apps such as Spotify, Kodi, and a local content player. Then came the torture test that my other portable Bluetooth speakers fail... I put some food in the microwave oven to heat it. That would normally cause noise for my portable speakers but much to my surprise the blafili B3 and Pixel 10 Pro connection was totally unaffected by any microwave oven leakage noise!

Their tech support is also wonderful if you need it. I used their support team for help with additional customizations that I wanted and they were very responsive.

This is a versatile product that is easy to setup.

Excellent value for your money

I got this to add bluetooth to my old receiver in my living room so I can easily listen to music from my phone while cleaning or working on projects around the house. Install and setup was easy; I used my own high quality RCA cables to connect it to the receiver. It's very small and lightweight, so some foam mounting tape was used to stick it to the side of the receiver.

In terms of sound quality, it's fine. It doesn't have LDAC compatibility, but for the price, that's not a big deal. It still sounds decent. One thing I don't like, is that it auto connects when powered on. I like to keep bluetooth on my phone turned on so I can connect to the various devices I use in my house. To get around this, I use a tapo smart plug that the USB power brick (also my own; there's not one included) is plugged into. That way I can just turn the plug on or off with my phone or voice, so it only connects when I want it to.

Overall, for the price, it does what it was designed to.

Works very well to receive Bluetooth signals from a phone or mp3 player and feed them to a stereo, etc. This updates your older stereo amplifier or receiver that doesn't have Bluetooth built in. The sound is great. No issues at all with that. Paring worked well the first time. Then it dropped it and I had to repair my mp3 player. So far its held the connection over a few days of use.
The unit is very compact and installation is simple. Just feed the output of the box to your stereo and enjoy wireless sound from your device.

This bluetooth reciever is perfect for adding bluetooth capability to an older system that did have bluetooth. It was simple to hook up and the sound quality is as expected. Two things to note. It does not come with a power brick, but comes with the USBc wire. It also did not come with the RCA cables. So you will need those to get it working. There is no volume control as it is controlled through the av receiver. The quality is as expected for the cost.

Very convenient for connecting multiple devices simultaneously.

This device doesn't have all the features enabled for bluetooth 5.2, but i could connect both my pc and my phone to it. It must be disconnected while pairing with each device, but once paired both devices could connect concurrently. It can also be put into pairing mode with double-tap of the one button it has on top. Very nice feature. When i disconnect bluetooth (shut down for the night), the connections come back up automatically on both devices after i power it back up again. This makes it very handy, just set and forget. Walk away, even overnight, and when you get back the connection re-establishes. Beautiful. It doesn't automatically shut down or go into sleep mode, and it doesn't heat up or cause my USB hub to heat, so i assume very little power is consumed.

This now means i can finally get more wires off my desk, clean look.

Shipping was very slow, almost a month, i hope they work that stuff out a bit better in future, or maybe it was just a timing thing, luck of the draw, but the device itself is solid and reliable. Great value.

The size is pretty compact, however i'm not sure why it's not smaller, it has no batteries, and doesn't have much more than a earphone would have. In fact, it reports as qualcomm QCC3040, which is a headphone/earphone DSP with bluetooth 5.2. It should be puny. Nevertheless, its a bit smaller than a deck of playing cards in its box, convenient, and easy to stow. I was able to maintain clear connection from one storey up, and within 20 meters of the device.

yo so i picked up this blafili R1 bluetooth receiver to finally hook my phone up to my old home stereo setup, and honestly? its pretty killer. the best part by far is the "no-beep" pairing thing. if you ever owned one of those cheap adapters you know how annoying it is when it lets out a deafening BEEP through your speakers every single time you connect. this one is totally silent when it pairs which is amazing.

its super compact size too, like you can just tuck it right behind your amp or on top of a shelf and you wont even see it. the sound quality is shockingly clean over the rca line out cables, no weird background noise or buzzing hiss at all when the music stops playing which usually drives me crazy. the range is also great, i can walk all the way into the kitchen to grab a snack and the music doesnt stutter or cut out at all.

only real downside is the usb input—its cool that it has one for variety, but since there isnt a screen on the box, navigating songs on a thumb drive is kinda like guessing in the dark lol. also the little box is so lightweight that my heavy rca cables kinda drag it backwards if i dont tape it down. but yeah, if you want a simple diy way to modernize an old vintage stereo without spending a fortune, this thing rules.

This Blafili Bicast Bluetooth Transmitter is great!

I've been using the Bicast Bluetooth transmitter with my mixer, and overall it's been a great addition to my setup. The XLR input is what sold me, as it's much more suited to mixers and PA gear than the usual consumer Bluetooth adapters.

Once everything was paired, the audio quality was excellent. The connection has been stable, and being able to stream to two Bluetooth speakers at the same time is really handy. We have had this plugged into our mixer and the cast can connect their device for warm ups and have their music through the system!
The battery life has also been impressive, easily lasting through long sessions without needing a recharge. Also recharge is easy with the supplied USB C cable.
Unit is relatively compact so easy to put in with your tools or bag when travelling.

The only reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five is that the initial setup took a little patience. Pairing wasn't difficult, but getting everything connected properly especially with two speakers took a couple of attempts, and the instructions could be clearer.

After that initial learning curve though, it's been reliable and does exactly what it's designed to do. It's a really capable little transmitter that makes wireless audio much more convenient. Would recommend 4 Stars!

I have a number of blafili pro audio and Bluetooth products, and figured I'd add this one to the mix.

The device functions as advertised. You plug it into a 1/4" output, turn it on, and pair it with a speaker or other receiving device. It is an easy way to add some versatility to your audio setup. Connectivity is decent, though when using with another blafili receiver sometimes there would be distortion if I walked between the line of sight of the two units. Part of this could be that I have a metal DJ stand with walls that protrude up a bit and may block some of the signal. Someday I'll try an extension cord and get the transmitter up out of the "cage".

Sound quality is decent, and these units all have support for various Bluetooth codecs and modes. One mode is near real time sound, though if you're running it in combination with a wired speaker you may notice the slightest delay - but in a large venue it would be tolerable. It should not be used for live audio, and they say this in the description, so I don't know why people are complaining about that use case.

Annoyingly, you can't really adjust the transmit volume with this thing, and are at the mercy of your mixer or other equipment. Compared to wired outputs, this one is much quieter and you really have to crank up the level to get similar volume.

Overall, this isn't a bad value for adding wireless capability to your setup, though I am concerned about the range and the ability to interrupt the signal across a small room. I'll do more playing with it in the future to figure out if it's my cage/setup or just a limitation of the unit.

excellent unit for the money

I've been using this off and on for about a year now, I have it set up with a pair of fosi mono v3's and DM40's, its performed admirably with zero issues and the audio quality is excellent via LDAC.

The Blafili T6.35 Bluetooth Transmitter is an interesting piece of tech. It's a rather large item, measuring roughly 5.5 X 1 X 1 inches. Like most professional sound equipment, it's built to be durable. And you can tell that just from the look and feel of it. It's also meant to be simple to use, as the only two buttons on it are "Power" and "Pair". Though you can also cycle through Bluetooth codecs by double-tapping the "Power" button.

At the top end is a USB-C charging port/audio input, and at the bottom is a gold-plated 1/4 inch plug, which lets you plug it right into a standard sound board. Admittedly, it's been well over a decade since I ran a large soundboard (and Bluetooth devices of any sort were a rarity when I was running sound). I essentially got this transmitter, hoping I might be able to use it on my home audiophile-quality system, as I've had several consumer-grade Bluetooth adapters die all too soon, and the $45 for a professional-grade transmitter seemed more than fair. But that's where it gets weird.

The manual makes this sound like a monophonic device, because it gives detailed instructions for connecting single Bluetooth speakers, one at a time, and even mentions that it's not a "True Wireless Stereo" signal between the two speakers. But apparently, it should specify speaker sets, as it seems to be built to stream a Bluetooth connection to two different speaker sets in different rooms at an event. Its signal output is definitely stereo though. I substituted Bluetooth headphones for speakers, and Switchblade Symphony's "Wallflower" came through in all its glorious stereo sound (great song to test stereo effect).

Because I'm in the middle of a move, I haven't been able to use the transmitter on anything other than my headphone amp, so I can't attest to its usefulness on a more powerful amplifier. However, I could tell my little amp wasn't enough to power the 1/4 in input. When I tried, it barely made a squeak, and was full of noise (Not the transmitter's fault! It's made for a much more powerful input.). But a direct USB-C connection to my phone worked fine.

I haven't used it enough yet to be able to testify to the battery life, but I noticed that the manual estimates about 16 hours (depending upon use conditions).

Great quality heavy duty unit

I've been using the B3 for about 6 months now. I mainly use it to pipe music through my band's PA system and its been doing a fantastic job. No pairing issues, no drop outs, good range, excellent sound quality, and it's a very robust unit. It's handled the normal 'abuse' of being regularly plugged in and unplugged and being trensported around in a gear bag with a bunch of other equipment and cables, so its had its fair share of knocks and bumps along the way.

This is a high quality product that I would recommend to anyone, particularly those of you looking for a heavy duty 'gig-ready' bluetooth solution.

I've connected it to both my Positive Grid amp and my w-king bluetooth speaker and it connected quickly and easily. I used it on a keyboard just to see how responsive it is and it worked though there is enough of a delay that you wouldn't want that to be your output. It works fine going from my mixing board to bluetooth speakers which is one of its intended purposes and it works well for music playback. It's small, well-built and has a decent built-in battery for use on the go. I'll add it to my bag and it'll be a tool I can use to link PA systems for stuff with scouts or baseball.

Keep in mind, this will not make your guitars cordless, you are looking at the wrong tool for that.

I use this device in my recording studio to send Bluetooth from my synthesizers to my mixing board. It works perfectly. Latency is negligible and seldom requires charging, the battery charge seems to last forever. Very simple to pair with other devices, and simple to set up. It’s a perfect way to get rid of pesky cables. Highly recommened.

I have a 1960's car overseas and this will be going in next month. This is a super-simple "hide away" adapter that allows an older car to have superb quality APTX-HD audio from your modern device. Keep your car stock! This can be paired with any modern amplifer and a modern speaker while leaving that classic radio intact.

This has been designed with some thought rather than "down to a price" and it shows.

This starts-up with no annoying sounds, and it just boots and connects all automatically in seconds. The audio is clean, punchy and the line-level output is LOUD at full volume, with all adjustments being done on the BT device.

Supports the old SBC, CSR/Qualcomm APTX and the excellent APTX-HD. For iDevices, you'll use AAC but Apple doa great job there with encoding.

Installing is "DIY" simple. The casing is sealed and the cables are secured very well. Find an area that's out of sight, but still has some clearance for the inbuilt-antenna. Two solid screw tabs are provided to screw to the car, or you can cable-tie to this something else as there is ample openings in the slots. Connect to power and ACC and the unit will simply start-up. To output audio, there are two small flyleads with RCA plugs to plug into a suitable amplifier.

"bench testing" it was flawless. It worked right throughout the house without a disconnection. Audio was clean and clear and thanks to APTX, it had plenty of punch through the attached HTS.

This is the second Blafili B3 that I have purchase. Easy to setup. The software from this company allows you to give your Blafili a custom name and even the ability to setup a password. My first unit, purchased Feb 2025, had failed for what ever reason and there was no left sound output on the XLR connections and the levels were very low. I contacted the Blafili company and they worked with me and sent another Blafili B3 for no charge. I did some testing on the defective unit and emailed the result to the company. They are going to send me a return shipping address to send the defective unit back to the them. Great people to work with, very responsive to emails and helping to resolve issues.

Ridiculous

I love it when something just works—and this does.

My older Marantz receiver started having HDMI/HDCP issues with my PC. It still sounds great (and wasn’t cheap back in the day), but the constant screen flashing for 10 minutes at a time was getting old fast.

I picked this up to bridge audio from my PC to the Marantz using an optical cable, and it solved the problem immediately. Setup was simple. You can connect via USB (which the instructions say offers better sound quality) or just use Bluetooth. I’ve tried both and honestly can’t hear any difference in fidelity.

I’ve only had it a couple of days, but so far it’s been rock solid. If you’ve got an older receiver you still like, this is a great way to keep it in the game instead of replacing it.

Still works well but noticed that the sound quality with a USB connection is much better than Bluetooth. Sometimes is switched to BT by itself and you will notice the quality drop. easy enough to switch back with the front panel button though. USB only alt to consider: ASIN B0B2DBGKL3

Everything you ever wanted to know about this Jack!

I've used this devise to play songs to my older PA system from my phone. I put it through a test of about 4 hours tonight, I play drums along with the music. No problems it worked perfect. It was a very enjoyable session. I bought this one used. However it looks brand new and works great. For about 1/2 the price of a new one. Its designed hassle free just sinc to your phone and plug it into your PA system adjust your PA to your phones volume. It looks pretty durable and fits in a shirt pocket. The sound is really good. I think for my money I got a great deal. If something happens to this one, will buy another.

Good quality BT receiver

I am using this receiver in a 12v boombox build, and it is outputting signal via RCAs to a 4 channel Fosi Audio CA30 automotive amplifier. It seems to have good BT range and be built well. One gripe that I have is that it seems to stop sending out remote power if it has stopped receiving audio signal for just a couple seconds. It will wake right back up when it receives audio signal again, this can be kind of annoying when trying to find a different song or needing to pause for a couple seconds. Still a great receiver and would buy again.

It only has 2 buttons and it is extremely easy to use. It pairs quickly and is very easy to use. It is important that you know that this is for connecting to mixers and PA systems, it cannot be plugged into a microphone to make it cordless. The battery seems to last a long time, I haven't needed to charge it yet. It's about half the size of a microphone so it will easily fit in a gear bag. It can be used to transmit audio out of a mixing board or PA Line out to a bluetooth receiver. It works to relay your audio wirelessly over a range. I've only used it a few times but It had no difficulty connecting from the output of my small mixing board to a bluetooth speaker at about 50 feet away. I'm sure I'll find more use cases soon.

Works well with amplifier

I had hoped this would work in the car so my son could plug his phone into the old stereo. While it did, the sound quality was terrible. I know this isn't what this is designed for - just letting you know in case you had the same idea.

It does work great with his guitar amp though. He's able to easily play music from his phone through the amp and the sound quality is great.

Firstly, this supports both aptX and HD, so the sound quality is actually pretty good (provided your phone is compatible).

The IP65 rating makes it good enough for boats or even open vehicles, and it works on both 12V and 24V systems without any drama.

The Bluetooth connection is stable and pairs pretty fast. However, it is not plug and play as it is a hardwired unit, so you will need some basic wiring skills to get it powered.

It is strictly for audio, so do not expect it to be much use for hands free calling.
All in all, if you are looking for a decent high performance receiver and do not mind the install, this does the job well.

I have other Blafili Bluetooth transmitters and receivers, but none with a XLR input to transmit Bluetooth, so I figured I'd try this out. It connected easily to one of my other Blafili receivers and worked as expected. I connected one speaker via cable as I usually do, and the other with these units to compare the quality, delay, etc.

Initially, there was a significant delay with this unit compared to the wired speaker, but then I took the time to thoroughly read the manual and found that the Bluetooth audio profile can be selected by double clicking the Power button. Entering a lower latency mode made the audio output within milliseconds of my wired speaker. Using a combination of wired and this might still be annoying if the speakers are right next to each other, but for using one speaker nearby and another far away you probably wouldn't notice the delay due to the distance.

The line level on this is also a little low compared to a cable. You'll either need to jack up your speaker input volume setting, or increase it on your mixer significantly. Finally, when using the XLR connection, it is mono only - while the device can connect to two Bluetooth receivers at once, the audio would be mono using XLR unless you had one of these units for each XLR channel.

Overall, it's a handy device to have in the toolkit for broadcasting wirelessly. It could even do in a pinch to replace a damaged cable. It would be best suited for mono audio which can tolerate a miniscule delay, such as a microphone input with someone speaking.

I bought this receiver not to go in my car, but to use with my speaker setup in the bedroom. I didn't want a cable dragging across the carpet, and needed a receiver that ran on 12v from my amp - this was a perfect fit; I wired up the GND, PWR & ACC cables to 12 volts from my amp, plugged in the RCA cables, and away I went!

Pairing via Bluetooth was nice and simple to my Google TV, and I was pleasantly surprised by the minimal amount of latency between the TV and audio. There is an intermittent tiny crackle on the left channel when the source device stops playing audio, but I can't confidently say it's this transmitter or something else in my setup - and not a problem while playing anyway.

I just turn on my amp and it connects, which is all I wanted - no fussing, no beeping, it just works!

Niche product, but exactly what I was looking for (6.5mm + Bluetooth)

This is a really interesting Bluetooth receiver. I’ve researched a lot of these and this is the only one I could find that does Bluetooth with a 6.5mm jack, which is a very specific use case. It works as advertised for me and has been a handy little adapter when you need that exact setup.

This product is surprisingly affordable for what it actually does. I needed a balanced XLR stereo output for my Bluetooth phone which no longer has audio outputs on it. I used my phone to connect emergency music to my DJ system when the laptop failed or updated at the wrong time. Most Bluetooth speaker connections are mono or low end frequency range, but this delivers full range audio in stereo. Perfect for my public DJ shows. Simple and more affordable then the other 'big brands'.

Bicast – XLR & USB-C Bluetooth 5.2 Audio Transmitter January 24, 2026

Works as Described. Easy Connections for USB C and XLR Direct Out.

I was able to set this up without reading the directions. That’s how easy the setup was.

Starting with the Bicast USB-C connection to my Dell G16 laptop (Win11 Pro), I paired with an Anker Sound Core 2, and then a FVYAO wearable BT speaker. Both are great products and support TWS (True Wireless Stereo) technology. Unfortunately, from the manual, the Bicast doesn’t support TWS even though two speakers can be paired. The same signal will be sent to both speakers, according to the manual. Not a deal breaker.

The RUFUS AI on the web page says it streams stereo to headphones. I got out a pair of older Altec Lansing BT headphones. My G16 connected to the BT headphones flawlessly. I was unable to pair my headphones to the Bicast even thought the LED’s indicated pairing. All other BT devices were turned off. Probably a Codex problem. Your BT headphones may work.

I didn’t have a sound board handy, so I used a Line 6 Catalyst 200 (2x12 200 watts) guitar amplifier that has a Direct Output. I paired it with the Anker, and it correctly sent the amp signal to the BT Anker. See pix.

While this might not be the way you would use this device as most computers have BT signals, the XLR/USB-C is designed to send a signal from Mixers to PA systems and 2 BT speakers and 2 BT headphones.

For me, I will occasionally use the BT speaker connection with my Catalyst amp so Mrs. Cool can listen to me make noise in the music room without having her eardrums assaulted.

One of the kids does sound mixing and gigging with signals sent to the PA systems. I’m sure he would like another tool in his toolbox.

Well, I thought that connecting this into one of my speakers would make the speaker bluetooth. Funny right! You need to connect this to a speaker that has bluetooth. As a result, I can not test this because I do not have any bluetooth speakers.

That said, before I ordered it I saw a video review of this unit and I was really impressed by it's performance. It is easy to connect just by plugging it in. I saw that it functions really well. And it is a well built compact unit.

It did come in uncharged, so I had to charge it, but then found that I needed to connect to a bluetooth speaker.

I don't know it there are any similar units on the market or what they cost, but for the money, I think this is fairly priced. I just can't currently use it.

This Bluetooth receiver is perfect for mounting in a vehicle behind the dash or above/below a head unit or amplifier. It's low profile, and conveniently mounts to a flat surface via 2 fasteners on the sides.

I greatly appreciate that there's an inline blade fuse included on the 12V power input, so if you're powering it from a higher amp accessory circuit or piggy-backing an existing audio power circuit, the wiring and unit are protected. Some similar devices use an inline glass fuse, and they can be harder to find replacements for, whereas most vehicles have now have blade fuses and they are readily available.

This unit has a remote out feature, so it can be used to switch on an amplifier to reduce battery draw when not in use (instead of having the amplifier automatically turn on with accessory power). This is a great feature that isn't present in most basic bluetooth receivers.

While the unit outputs via L/R RCA pigtails, it's line level output so you can use an RCA to 3.5mm cable to connect this to a standard AUX input on a car stereo if you require. There is no volume control on this receiver; this device is designed to be used in conjunction with an amplifier with that functionality.

The one minor issue I had is that using this device with a 240V AC to 24V DC power supply introduced noise over the RCA connection if the receiving device was utilising the same power supply. This did not occur if the receiving device was a battery powered speaker, nor when the receiving device received line input from a mobile phone.

The one major issue I had with this bluetooth receiver is that it flashes RED & BLUE LED's. This could land you in trouble if mounted in a visible location in the cabin as use of those colours together flashing in an alternate pattern could draw attention.

As a positive, this receiver does not say "bluetooth connected" voice over the speakers or make any annoying connecting sound (like JBL speakers / generic Chinese bluetooth amps), the lights just change from red/blue flashing to solid blue. I REALLY like this, simple single tone or no sound at all is much less intrusive!

This receiver can be powered by 12V or 24V, so it can be used in ag equipment and commercial vehicles, which is a bonus (no 24V to 12V DC-DC converter required).

This is one of the better Bluetooth boxes that I have seen and worked with. Quality construction, and straight forward instructions. The sole reason for the purchase, was the ability to customize the Bluetooth name on the receiver. Hard to find anymore.

I ran into a small issue with the software and reached out to support late at night. I was surprised and happy, to receive a reply within an hour, and several emails after that, assisting me with the name change. It works great!

I would high recommend this unit to anyone looking for custom Bluetooth ability. Their product line also includes some smaller receivers, one that plugs directly into your mixer via XLR. I know I will find a use for that in the field. 5 stars for sure!

Works great but you need to right size input jack on your receiver. It works flawlessly and connected straight away to my phone when connected to my amplifier but when I tried it on another device using a 1/4 to 3.5mm connector I couldn't seem to get it to work. It may have been the cheap connector I was using but anyway I am very happy with being able to use this receiver to play music directly from my phone on an older stereo system.

This thing is fantastic. I have a 1971 Camaro I didn't want to install a modern radio into. I wanted to keep the original 2 knob radio, but the modern replacements for those are expensive. The 'blafili 6dot35' is great little device. Plugged it into my portable amplifier and used my Android phone to connect to a radio station, and out came the music. It was easy to Pair with Bluetooth on my phone.

The gain seems very good, had to turn the output of the phone down considerably so I didn't overload.

The range worked until I was 15 meters away before it started to drop a few bits here and there, so very good at 10 meters.

Audio quality was good just need to adjust the output from the source (Android Phone).

This is simple and low cost method to add Bluetooth capability to your older stereo player/car radio/ boat radio / caravan radio / truck radio / tractor radio etc. running on one battery (12V) or two batteries (24V).

Often it is much easier and cheaper, than to replace a still perfectly fine older radio system. Especially if it is a more complex or high quality installation, and you would have to pay a specialist to do the swap.

Another reason is if you do not want the looks of a phone like modern head unit, or do not have the space for it, or simply do not want to be bothered by unwanted and to you useless other features.

Or you simply want to add Bluetooth capability in an invisible hidden away fashion, thereby retaining the original vintage look of your vehicle. Especially if a rare and expensive original vintage radio is involved.

The installation of this Blafili is very simple, I would say right out foolproof.

When it connects, it works well. BUT...

Works well with devices that can connect to and work with it. Unfortunately the B3 would either not connect with or send the bluetootb audio signal from my Audio Technica AT-LP60-BT turntable. I know the turntable bluetooth works because it worked with a basic bluetooth receiver for which this Blafili B3 was meant to replace. I also know the B3 works and was connected properly because it connected and worked well with my phone.. but the B3 and my turntable would not play nice with each other. Of note the AT turntable uses SPC which the B3 might have difficulty working with.

In any event, it seems like a good unit but sadly does not work with all devices, especially the one for which I purchased it and therefore will need to return it. Hope this is helpful info to some.

I am very impressed with blafili B3. I purchased this in September 2025 and have had time to play with it.

It works great for Audio plus video playback meaning, the audio is synced up to the video. This works great for a Video DJ or out mixing a band. It has XLR connections to plugin to my mixer or for the home user it has USB-C to connect to a computer, RCA and optical.
The blafili B3 also allows up two devices to connect at the same time, but only one can play at a time which makes sense.

It also allows the signal to play at a very good distance without drop out. I have even been on my back patio, with IPAD, and I still could get a great signal. The blafili B3 was in my garage. It works so good, I am buying another one for the entertainment center in the basement.

Update: I bought the second B3. It worked as far as connecting via Bluetooth. I had a problem with the XLR connection as it was not passing the signal. The RCA and optical were working after testing.
I then contacted support and they were great and sent me a new replacement with a return tag USPS within a couple of days.
Michael was great with support emails.

I will buy other products they offer. Go check them out on the Store.

I have owned my B3 for over one year and absolutely love the sound and ease of uses. I get whole home coverage and not only can I use this to steam via Bluetooth from my phone, I can also play music files direct from my PC to vintage Stereo Receiver. The B3 offers four different ways to hook into your stereo system or DJ setup.

If you need a tidy way to add Bluetooth to a mixer, powered speaker or small PA, the blafili 6dot35 is a compact plug‑in receiver that delivers good codec support, decent battery life and useful USB‑C DAC functionality.

Pros:
- Plugs directly into a 1/4" TRS input, no extra analog cable clutter
- Bluetooth 5.1 with aptX HD, aptX Low Latency, AAC and SBC for flexible quality/latency choices
- Up to 10 hours of battery life for extended gigs or events
- USB‑C DAC mode lets you use it as a simple wired audio interface from a laptop

Cons:

I like the 6dot35 for live and portable setups where convenience and tidy routing matter. It’s a practical wireless input for DJ booths, bars and small venues, flexible with codecs, long battery life and the added USB‑C DAC option makes it a useful tool in a compact package.

Fantastic Bluetooth Mono receiver

Sound quality of this Bluetooth receiver is great, I currently used this with an amplifier and it works awesome, i'm not sure how low latency this dongle is in ms but you can watch a movie without lips falling out of sync if for whatever reason you would want to use this with an amplifier for that niche reason. Build quality is also superb and very sturdy doesn't feel like it's just going to snap in your hands and the USB C is a nice added touch whereas a lot of technology like these dongles still use crappy micro USB for whatever reason.. When buying this make sure you do know that it will play music Mono also NOT stereo as you will need 2 of these dongles for stereo. Extremely handy dongle non the less considering there is no need for added cables which can be a trip hazard depending how high up you're plugging into.

I have another blafili Bluetooth device which I like, so I decided to try this one out as a backup.

The device itself is pretty straightforward to use. It has a USB-C charging port, some buttons, and a 1/4" jack to connect it to various audio equipment so it's compatible with nearly any professional audio hardware. Bluetooth connectivity was pretty straightforward - push the pair button until it flashes, and search for the device. Sound quality seemed decent and on par with other Bluetooth devices. The thing is fairly small, and will pack in with your other gear without issue. Overall, the functionality is as expected.

My only complaint is that the device can be difficult to unplug from a 1/4" jack, and I've had to tug on it so hard that I'm worried I'm going to break the connector since the housing is made out of plastic. Also, there are no indications on the device as to how to turn it on if you don't know what buttons to push. You'll figure it out with only two buttons, but still. Between those complaints, I dropped a star.

Aside from all that, I'd say the device is a decent value for the money if you need to add Bluetooth capability to your audio setup.

I use an iPad in my music a lot. Previously I was using cables to connect my iPad to my mixing console, but this device has eliminated the cables. Bluetooth connection to my iPad was effortless and I plug this thing in to a spare channel on my mixing board and I can record any sound from my iPad to my mix via Bluetooth. Goodbye cables!

My car only has an auxiliary port and I wanted to do a built-in Bluetooth for streaming my music. This has really done a great job of allowing me to convert my aux port into a Bluetooth. Installation is very simple. It works on multiple voltages and my phone paired up with it easily, and the Bluetooth has worked without issue. Really great for various projects that you may have where you want to add Bluetooth functionality to an audio system.

1000% impressed with this device, I got to use my studio monitor as a Bluetooth speaker, the sound quality is impressive with imperceptible lag. A nice thing about the wireless adapter is the lack of ground feedback intrusion on high end monitors you can almost always hear a hiss in the quiet. This was minimal to the point I couldn’t notice. I’ll be buying the second one and utilizing a pair now that I know they are great sonically.

I used this wirelessly and the battery lasted a whole day of use, was dead the next morning and needed the plug to keep going, luckily it runs as normal when it is plugged into a brick for power, and also has a DAC in it to connect a pc or usb c device to it without BT! great options for a versatile device.

The build might be a bit light for the rigors of road life, and I would expect the whole thing to snap off if you have it plugged into a mixer at a rowdy show.

This is a perfect solution for me. It was truly plug and play (well, pair the phone in there too!). I've played music professionally my entire life, and as such am always asked to provide not only music, but audio equipment for all kinds of situations. This device is a nice addition to the tool bag! Simply put, plug it into a powered PA speaker input or mixer, pair it to your phone, and voila, you have music from your phone ported to the PA wirelessly. The real kicker for me is that it doesn't beep (or make any noise) when you're pairing devices to it. This allows easy device switching on the fly silently. I do have a set of powered speakers with Bluetooth built in, but every time you connect your phone or another device that emit a blaringly loud beep that's just unacceptable when you're in front of a crowd. This is exactly why I sought this device out.

The device is relatively small, and can run on it's own internal battery or it can be powered by the small included USB power cable (charger not included)....this is quite nice because many powered speaker do have a USB output on the back that you can just connect the charging cable to. I tested plugging directly into a Mackie mixer, some QSC powered PA speakers and also a Yamaha CK61 keyboard's audio input (just to test a variety of devices, the mixer and keyboard already have Bluetooth inputs, but I wanted to test multiple devices). Everything worked as expected. The audio quality was great, and the phone worked to at least about 25 feet away (it's unreasonable to expect longer range from Bluetooth). Note: it doesn't support passcode protection, so be sure to take it out of pairing mode once you're connected!

This device does what I wanted it to do and does it well. I recommend.

I'm thrilled to say I was able to find a way to now have a fantastic selection of internet-available recorded music come out of my 30 year old classic Yamaha RX-900 stereo receiver and Klipsch KG4 speakers.

The Yamaha receiver is wonderful but there were no iPhones or Bluetooth wireless devices in those days. But a few weeks ago, I wondered if such a device may now be available to plug into one of its inputs and then be able to hear music from current online sources.

The blafili B4 (no capital by their own imagination) popped up on my iPad with the first search I tried. It appeared to be 100% exactly what I was hoping for. This beautiful small device was precisely the one I would've designed myself, with multiple outputs and a solid, strong signal. It's perfectly designed and manufactured.

The shock is that I had no idea there would be a market for this thing. Could there be enough of us who wanted it? Who else has exactly the right device that came up in my own imagination? I only looked at this one because I couldn't imagine anything any better or more affordable.

I can’t thank Michael at blafili enough to be as responsive, cooperative, communicative, and supportive of the right thing for me. I can now stream from my wireless receiving devices to my speakers, exactly what I wanted.

It started out amazing.... and then broke.

I was using this with an amp to bypass a radio head unit, and it worked great for about 10 minutes, it connected easily and the remote wire would turn my amp on.
After a while though, the remote wire stopped working, and I had a hard time getting it to turn on.

If it worked properly and hadn't died, I'd love it! It's really easy to use and just what I needed, but I can't recommend.

This thing is fantastic. I have a 1971 Camaro I didn't want to install a modern radio into. I wanted to keep the original 2 knob radio, but the modern replacements for those are expensive. This thing works great. I can play music on my phone, wirelessly, through an amplifier to hear my music while driving. I would highly recommend this for a classic car, an ATV, a boat, etc., where mounting a radio is not an option.

This unit worked really well right out of the box. Attaching the antenna is simple. Hooking it up to my stereo system was easy; I used RCA connectors, but it does not come with them, so you would need to have a set of these if you wish to connect it that way. (I believe it has a line out to RCA connectors cable in the box, which apparently can be used in either direction, depending on your output system...) I was using a fairly cheap Bluetooth receiver before that was pretty glitchy and would not keep the music flowing well. It was driving me crazy. This Blafili unit has been rock solid for a week with no glitching at all. (I am sending streaming bluetooth from a MacBook Pro from a range of around 25 feet through one wall...) The sound quality seems quite good (again, using RCA to RCA cable, using the "line" connections) to a an oldish Pioneer receiver with decent/solid room speakers. Nothing super high quality audiophile, but a pretty good system nonetheless. Also worth noting is that, while there is no volume knob on the Blafili system, the needed volume setting on my Pioneer receiver is WAY lower than it was with my previous cheapish ($40?) unit. This is a nice thing, because when I switch to playing CDs or listening to the radio, I do not get blasted with a super-loud initial sound if I have not adjusted the volume knob beforehand. I no longer have to worry about that, which is great!

The unit comes with an on/off switch. I emailed Blafili about whether that should be turned off to power the unit down when not in use, and they got back to me very quickly and said I could either leave it on or turn it off, it didn't matter. (When on but in standby, the LCD screen has a readout, but there is ZERO warmth to the unit as far as I could tell, so this made sense that it wouldn't be a problem to leave it on...) They also reminded me that it is a lifetime guarantee on the unit, so if any problems, just let them know. They seem like a startup that is trying hard, putting out an excellent, modestly-priced unit, and deserves some kudos. I think it is great value for the money...

Worked on old pioneer dvd head unit

I decided to add this to an old dvd head unit (avh-3200bt) easy to wire up. Used my head units AV in, not sure if other sources work but this method worked for me. But I’ve only had it going for a day, so I’ll update the review if anything changes.

The receiver works well and the sound quality is good. One important thing to know is that the red ACC wire must be connected for the unit to turn on. Connecting only the yellow power wire and black ground wire is not enough. Connect the red wire to your vehicle’s ACC or ignition wire. If your installation does not have an ACC connection, you can connect the red ACC wire together with the yellow wire to +12V, but the receiver will remain powered on continuously. Once I connected the ACC wire correctly, everything worked as expected.

The Blafili product truly went *beyond my expectations*. It’s extremely well built and works flawlessly. I initially had a minor issue with the first unit I received, but their customer service was absolutely top-notch—probably the best I’ve experienced. I reached out and was surprised to find that Michael, the owner himself, responded immediately. He even included his personal email on the packaging, showing how much he stands behind his product and cares about his customers.

As someone who works with various audio equipment, I’m very impressed—not just with the build and performance of the B3, but also with the level of support I received. This unit is an essential tool for anyone looking to add high-quality Bluetooth connectivity to any setup, whether it's a simple home system or a professional rig.

Excellent product. Installed five of them on a venue and the professional features are exactly what I was looking for. Plenty of connection options (XLR, RCA, optical) and  great sound quality. Very good connection range also.
I needed some technical assistance to customize Bluetooth names and add a password (a very unusual option on a bluetooth device) , and contacted  customer support available by email. The response really surprised me, specially in these days where it is pretty difficult to get even an answer from a tech support department everywhere. In just a few hours, I got all the info and files requested, very  well explained. It was not an easy task, because requires some kind of tech skill, but  I work  on the AV integration field and I could do it with no hassle following the received detailed instructions.  Great product

The blafili B3 Is a fantastic product. I bought it to listen to lossless Apple Music on my wired open back headphones (Sennheiser HD650). My Apple device (Iphone 16/ Ipad Air M3) is connected with a USB-C cable to the blafili USB-C input, which in turn is connected with high quality RCA interconnects to a dedicated headphone amp. The sample rate displayed on the blafili is 48hz, confirming lossless audio output from the Apple device. I listen mostly to classical music, and to my ears the sound quality is comparable with SACD - bass and treble beautifully balanced.. I occasionally stream music over the bluetooth connection, and even then I'm very impressed with the audio quality. I cannot comment on long term reliability (I've only had the product for a few days) but at face value I see no reason to question this. In short: a great product.

I originally bought 3 of the blafili B3 Professional XLR Bluetooth v5.1 Music Receivers for a couple of my clients about a year ago and they're still working great. So when I found out about the blafili XLR Portable Bluetooth v5.1 Music Receiver I wanted to try it out.

I bought one blafili XLR to use at an event to play background music that turned into a bit of a dance party. I had it plugged directly into a QSC K10.2 with the bass boost on. It sounded great and the quality was excellent, just like the blafili B3 and had great range (the iPad was 60 feet away for the 8 hours with no dropouts). I love having the ability to customize the name of the unit when it appears on the device list of your phone, iPad, etc.. I also like the form factor and the ease of use and that it is rechargeable (USB – C) with any 5V charger.

One of my concerns before I bought the item was, I had read a few people complain that when you plug it directly into the speaker it's upside down, but once the speaker was up on the stand, the indicator lights and buttons were visible because the unit is now above your eye level.

Overall, I'm very happy with the unit and would like to get a second one to take advantage of the stereo feature and not have to cable to the second speaker.

Lastly, they have very good Technical Support. I had a bit of an issue customizing the name on the first unit I ever bought and they help me figure out the problem and walked me through how to resolve it. I would definitely recommend the blafili XLR along with there blafili B3.

Works perfectly as an extension to my older receiver. Optical output on the box is ideal. Super clean sound and silence. I love that it makes no beeps or voices. Aesthetically matches my A/V stack as well.

I made sure to get about 20hrs use before posting this. Hoping for extreme longevity with this.

An IR remote receiver on the front for power on/off would have been nice. No complaints otherwise.

Top of the line product for a fraction of the price. I emailed customer service about customizing a Bluetooth password and they sent me directions in minutes.
This product has all the inputs you’d possibly need for any system. It’s a definite one and done purchase.
The little things I found that made this product professional grade: it doesn’t yell “Bluetooth connected” through your speakers. Two devices can be connected at one time, but the second device needs permission to play… so that one friend can’t just rip a bad song. You can set a Bluetooth password to avoid pranksters.

If you purchase directly from their site you can have them program the device exactly the way you want it to run. Passwords, the amount connected at one time, permissions…. Everything!

I was very happy receiving this and just as happy testing this! Installation and set up was easy it has plenty of ports for different kinds of connectivity volume control is pretty cut dry and it's size and weight is good enough for being on the road with gigs. The sound quality was amazing and did not leave me feeling like it was lacking. The range was great and was good enough for my 512 capacity ballroom. Definitely buy this if you are looking for pro style and connectivity as well as reliability.

Nice product

Great product. However, I am a little bit surprised it doesn't have a companion controller app. So far I have only used it in the house and yet to test in a live environment. I plugged my Adam a7x speakers directly in, linked up, and I am impressed. When im not gigging this will be used as my studio bypass. I can now listen to music without powering up my entire studio. As an addition to bring Bluetooth to your home system, this is highly recommended. To make this a ten out of ten product I suggest a companion controller app. In the app include Bluetooth name change/pin change/screen brightness toggle/ and display connected devices. The only other suggestion is one more usb port. One dedicated power, and one dedicated hd audio input or thunderbolt. Overall this is a highly recommended product. With a few small tweaks it can be an amazing product. I should add, postage was only two days to Australia.

I have an older Harmon Kardon main amp and a Kenwood pre amp with Jvc equalizer the system is 200 watts per channel my main speakers are infinite pro 4000’ also a set of a.r’ and a set of Bose if need be I purchased this Bluetooth adapter just because I wanted to listen to pandora not expecting the quality of sound this Bluetooth brings in my hearing isn’t what it used to be but I’ll tell you what the sound quality is amazing I hear instruments now that I never heard before this Bluetooth was installed the sound is very clean and clear and powerful the 4000’ absolutely rip and came alive with this Bluetooth adapter it is very easy to install and paired with my phone immediately with no problems I couldn’t be happier with this device one of the best purchases I’ve made in a long time do not hesitate about this purchase it’s worth every single penny believe me definitely a 5 star purchase.

This is the perfect way to upgrade a PA system or sound desk to allow for Bluetooth input, such as songs from a phone.

The used a short XLR cable to allow me to position the blafili XLR up with a clear signal path. Range seems fine, though I haven't tested thoroughly, and all Bluetooth devices struggle when there are too many other Bluetooth devices around, so testing in my relatively quiet house won't tell you much about how it might work in a concert, church service, or shopping centre.

It pairs easily and reliably, and reconnects quickly and reliably. The battery seems solid, and charges with real USB-C (USB-C to USB-C cable--some devices only support USB-A to USB-C).

I haven't been able to test the stereo pairing with a second device, since I only have one. However, a mono stream is most likely adequate for most purposes. I tested the input feeding into a Focusrite 2i2 2nd gen, using SoundForge, and it is nice and clean. The device isn't bothered by phantom power on the XLR connector. It would be nice if it could use phantom power to recharge the battery, but it doesn't.

Compared to pro audio gear (which is usually very heavy and solid) this is very lightweight, with a light plastic shell with clear join marks. Nonetheless, it feels solid enough to handle regular, normal usage in the professional environment it is clearly intended for. The buttons have a nice, positive action and there are no flimsy toggles or other bits to break off.

I think this is a practical, solid, reasonable value device to add Bluetooth to your professional PA or sound desk.

Bought the Blafili B3 to use as a DAC paired with powered EV speakers for my wedding. It worked flawlessly throughout the ceremony, toasts, and reception. Now I use it in my garage / workshop with the same DJ speakers I used for the wedding. The sound quality is excellent and it continues to work great. Beware that the USB-A to USB-C cord can be finicky. The unit stopped connecting via USB (bluetooth still worked fine) but a new cable solved the issue. When I reached out to the customer service email, I got quick and helpful responses from Michael -- even on the weekend. They were kind enough to ship me a new unit for troubleshooting. Really, top notch customer service. I wouldn't hesitate to buy more products from Blafili.

This little device is AWESOME!! I am using it at a music studio, in the performance room hooked up to the mixer. Be sure to put on the antenna in the box for great coverage. I contacted customer support to help be rename the broadcasted device name to "Theater Bluetooth". Michael was super helpful and quick to respond. I bought more of these after my experience.

Based on several reviews, I gave this Bluetooth receiver a try, (my older stereo equipment is not Bluetooth compatible). After pairing phone, I was able to listen to my streamed music and now can use phone to control what's played and volume to boot. Instructions are short (a good thing) and it was Installed and working within 5 minutes out of the box. Sound quality is quite good, and Bluetooth range seems acceptable from all corners of my patio. Very happy with the device.

This Bluetooth XLR receiver works well enough, especially for the price (currently AU$70.99). It's great to have aptX HD and aptX Low Latency codecs - amongst others - included but "user beware" when it comes to using Bluetooth devices at gigs. I've learnt from painful first-hand experience that interference at gigs is a nightmare!

The build-quality of this product is ok but not great i.e. a single drop or knock could put it out of commission due to it being made from some kind of cheap plastic. I'd personally prefer aluminium construction - even for this price point - but it is what it is.

The blafili XLR Portable Bluetooth v5.1 Music Receiver has exceptional sound quality. It enables me to pair to my amp via bluetooth and the range from this thing is amazing.

Eliminates so many cables and neatens up the DJ box in our club a little more. Looking forward to updating some of our older speakers and systems to integrate with this Music receiver and similar products.

This is the perfect solution to a unique requirement, Getting audio into your audio devices like a mixer or amp via Bluetooth.

The pairing process with my device was simple and quick, and as stated in the listing there was no sounds, beeps or audio prompts produced by the device while pairing, and it has no volume controls, you just use the volume controls of your audio source device.

Audio output is at line level, I observed a level of -11dBu at peak, and at silent -96dBu, sound quality is exceptional.

Battery life seems really good, I ran it for a few hours and had no issues.

Interesting you can pair it with a 2nd unit to provide a stereo output.

The only slight issue the XLR pins would be better if they 180 deg the other way, because when I have it plugged into my audio inputs the front panel and controls on the unit are facing down, apart from that this unit is perfect.

This little Bluetooth receiver is fantastic! It supports all the major codecs, including LDAC, which is a huge plus. I used this to connect a 32 inch Roku TV to my Fusion Apollo MS-RA770 radio. The TV Bluetooth is Roku specific so I purchased an optical BT transmitter that used the aptX codecs using BT 5.3. The Fusion had a profound delay and did not support the BT codecs so I purchased the Blafili B3 to decrease the latency for the surround sound. WOW! It works. Its sound is superb. I understand the use for home audiophile BT connections. Completely satisfied with this purchase.

So it does what it says it does and the quality is pretty good. Reception is good too. Wide range of codecs and solid connection with no annoying noises.

There are a couple of issues:

It's mono only. There's only one channel of audio so it's not ideal for stereo music. If you're just getting basic playback or you just have one speaker it's fine, but there are cheaper devices that offer two channels (stereo).

There's no phantom power. XLR devices usually allow you to power the device using the +48v provided by the mixer or whatever you're plugging it into. Not this one, you are reliant on the battery. You can use the power cable and a USB power supply if you need to keep it going, but kind of defeats one of the advantages of having an XLR device.

This little gadget is the best! I love it. Was so excited to be able to play my new music from my phone thru my very old Sony receiver and on my Bose speakers. Sound quality is terrific. Their customer service is excellent. I had trouble getting it to work at first (turned out to just be I had one button pushed wrong on my receiver) and when I emailed them they went above and beyond to help me get it going. Great product great service. Highly recommend!

I purchased this for my own use. So far, so good with this Bluetooth input DAC. I had no issues paring it up and playing audio from an iPhone. The use is very simple and pretty well explained in the accompanying instruction sheet. I have only used the RCA pin jack outputs so far. It is nice to know the coaxial, optical and balanced XLR outputs are there for when I want them. This DAC could be handy for quickly adding audio inout from an iPhone to a professional mixer board via the XLR connections without needing to use transformers.

I played a challenging recording of the Rite of Spring and it sounded very good. The bass definition was quite good. I didn’t take the cover off to check, but from sound quality the unit sounds like it has DC coupled outputs. The tympani on the recording sounded excellent. I also appreciate the summary information displayed on the OLED screen. Background noise is almost non existent, seemingly below detection on the preamplifier I used for testing which is about 90 dB weighted SNR.

This unit is more expensive than most consumer grade Bluetooth capture devices but much less costly than units with fancy audiophile names. This seems to be a very practical balance between price and good quality sound. I recommend this unit.

I got this in order to play my phone music apps through my Bose tabletop radio. It was a breeze to install and connect. I've tried several cheaper bluetooth adapters and have never been satisfied with either their volume or sound quality, but this one delivers on both counts. It goes to show you get what you pay for. Plenty of others have commented about the sound quality and functionality, but I came to share that I had a very positive customer support experience with blafili. They were very responsive, to the point where they were following up before I could respond sometimes.

The unit worked as expected with both my iPhone and iPad, but it turned out to not be friendly with my Chromecast w/ Google TV 4K (my model was GZRNL). It could never successfully connect. I have provided the support team with the model info and they have expressed interest in acquiring the device to fix the issue. They said they would update me if there is any progress, and I’ll update this review in that event. They offered a partial refund for the inconvenience, which I thought was quite good of them to do.

I'm a part time DJ and I bought this XLR input so that I could connect my mobile phone using Bluetooth and play songs. Setup and pairing was easy. The sound quality is great and the battery life is long. The output from the XLR to the mixer is loud and clean. I'm glad to have this extra device on my mixer to help me with my productions. 100% love it.

This is a fantastic device if you cabling issues ( or if you just want convenient streaming ).

So, since Christmas I had a layout problem with my "Active Bookshelf" speakers (technically I use 2 Rokit Studio Monitors as bookshelf speakers mounted high on 2 bookshelves). But we needed to move the location of my Streamer away from these bookshelves, so suddenly I had run cables which my wife hated.

So I needed a better solution and I came across the blafili XLR and thought it might work as a high quality alternative to cables, specifically because it supports the HD codecs unlike some other bluetooth wireless devices.

I love how two of them act in a TWS mode (like 2 individual earbuds for the left and right channel) and the fact they work on battery power (as well as wired) was super useful as I got it all working well with my 2 Speakers first, then once I was happy with the placement and the sound quality I was getting, I then just added a simple usb charger to keep them powered up.

So that brings me the most important aspect, how does it sound? Well when streaming from the same WiiM Streamer I was previously using via cables it sounded exactly the same, in fact, I ran the same 'room correction' that the WiiM Streamer offers and I got the same result I had previously as shown in the WiiM App. I love how simple it is within the WiiM Ultra to switch to bluetooth for "speaker output" so overall the swap from cables to 2 blafili XLR devices connected to my speakers took less than 10 minutes ( it did take me a few minutes to figure out how to enable TWS - I should have read the manual first ) and I was up and running and my wife was very happy with the result.

I use these Rokit speakers because for their size these speakers have both good bass down to about 50Hz and a nice linear response with excellent mods and decent treble as you should expect from studio reference monitor speakers.

So I believe this is a nice combination to work with the Blafili XLR, a decent active bookshelf speaker and a streamer that supports bluetooth and you have a nice wireless active solution for any awkward to wire location in your house that will sound great. As an added bonus, if I turn off the WiiM Ultra the Blafilli XLR ends up available to stream directly from my iPhone to the speakers, they can appear as Speakers within your bluetooth settings.

So, if cables are a problem and you have some active speakers (or many an Amp with XLR inputs) and you want to turn them into a high quality bluetooth receiver I would definitely recommend the Blaili XLR.

I recently purchased the Blafili B3 Bluetooth Music Receiver, and I couldn't be happier with my decision! The sound quality is absolutely fantastic! Finally! A Professional Bluetooth Receiver

This was clearly engineered by someone who knows what the pros actually need. The only downside is that you can't rename the bluetooth broadcast ID name.
I've been using it through studio monitors and it sounds pretty flat. SNR is huge for a bluetooth device. I'm buying another one for my personal use.

The best sounding Bluetooth receiver Period!

Typically Bluetooth audio is quite bad compared to wifi or wired streaming. Most HiFi manufacturers typically implement Bluetooth as an after thought/nice to have and focus on other areas more such as airplay, chromecast etc…. I own an audiolab 6000a play and the Bluetooth on that amp sounds like what you would normally expect Bluetooth to sound like. When I connected the B3 to the amp I was blown away at how good the Bluetooth sounded from my iPhone compared to the built in Bluetooth on the audiolab 6000a. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. The crazy thing is the audiolab and the B3 both use the same Dac and both were streaming with AAC codec but the B3 just sounded better. If you want the best quality audio from Bluetooth look no further. The B3 is worth it over built in Bluetooth or some cheap Bluetooth addon from Amazon, Temu or Ali Express. Blafili is serious about Bluetooth. Just look at the product listings it’s all they do.

This allows me to connect using bluetooth, and I can even remote the speaker with XLR cable, and have this device near the phone... it doesn't have to be mounted on the speaker itself. Note that it is line output. If you need mic level, you'll have to use a pad for the signal.

The 3 disadvantages I listed makes me think obsolescence is planned through breakage or battery loss.

Recommended for any sound professional that's struggled with phone adapters for a PA speaker. If only they had a solution to the internal battery issue....

Great range, well-made

This bluetooth streamer deserves the high ratings that it has. It has great range, is well built, and has lots of connectivity options. Customer service is excellent. I had a little trouble with the install (user error) even though the directions are very clear. They were quick to respond and I was up and running in no time. I highly recommend this company and their product!

what you need if you need XLR outs

Just did critical listening with this in my studio last night, a huge improvement from my ~$30 RCA-out one I had before. As a studio owner, Bluetooth has always been considered a joke and not ready for primetime but this helps when people want to quickly play example mixes of differing styles from their phones. Really surprising quality even at higher volumes.

It is very simple to connect to my system and pairing it with a Bluetooth device is also very straightforward. Many devices in the pro audio department that add Bluetooth functionality are for some reason costly. Additionally, they are generally a rack-mounted device, or they are a unit that needs a 110 volt power supply to operate. The Blafilli XLR meets the need by being battery powered with a 10-hour use, or plugging into anything that has a USB charge output. I have added pictures of the device and instruction manual as well as provided a video to help understand and use this product.

Many devices in the pro audio department that add Bluetooth functionality are for some reason costly. Additionally, they are generally a rack-mounted device, or they are a unit that needs a 110 volt power supply to operate. The Blafilli XLR meets the need by being battery powered with a 10-hour use, or plugging into anything that has a USB charge output. I have added pictures of the device and instruction manual as well as provided a video to help understand and use this product.

blafili B3 solid performance

I originally bought the blafili B3 because I was looking for Bluetooth 5.1 with long range capability for a permanent install I was doing at a school. I looked at all the traditional brands but no one had a 5.1 Bluetooth with XLR connections that would work in my application. The unit was mounted in a theater AV rack in a control booth approximately 75 to 80 feet from the stage. I was able to Connect to the unit from the stage and have solid uninterrupted connection from anywhere within the theater. To test how far I could go without losing the signal I walked out of the theater onto the play yard and had a solid signal for about another 20 to 25 feet making the overall range just about 100 feet Plus being inside of a metal middle Atlantic rack and through a concrete wall. Needless to say I'm very happy with the range, stability, and of the unit. I was also very happy with the audio quality it was very clean, clear with no artifacts.

I was so happy with it I replaced their Denon DN-300Z in their gym with another blafili B3 because the Denon's range was very limited and anytime you wanted to switch devices you had to hit the selection button which you do not have to do on the blafili B3. With the blafili B3 it will automatically show up in your Bluetooth List of devices available for pairing. This is great because you can just walk into the room if you've paired to the device in the past and connect. The single button on the front of the device is just to power on the device and to forget devices if you press and hold the button. The unit canned also remember up to 8 different Bluetooth connections.

Another nice feature is that the name of the unit can be customized this was important in this situation because I have two units in the same building with overlapping signals you could see on your device. so I was able to change one name to "Theater Bluetooth" and the other to "Gym Bluetooth". Michael from blafili technical Support provided me with the program and guided me through the process. It was not difficult the only thing that slowed me up is it requires a Windows machine and I'm a Mac person. Once I got over that hurdle it was a smooth process and MICHAEL even checked back with me to make sure I was able to successfully change the name. They even offered to send me one with the customized name if I had any difficulty changing it my self.

The only complaint I would have would be the display is very small but for me I considered it a minor.

I've now purchased three of these units and they've all worked as expected and you can't beat the price for what you get in terms of technology.

I would definitely recommend this product and the tech-support is great as well.

Best in Price with Balanced XLR Outputs

I recently purchased the Blafili B3 Bluetooth DAC, and I couldn't be happier with my choice! The price-to-performance ratio is absolutely amazing with the qualcom chipset, and especially considering it comes equipped with balanced XLR outputs. This feature alone is worth the cost, delivering a clarity and depth that is hard to find in this price range for my studio monitors.What truly sets the Blafili B3 apart, though, is the outstanding customer service.
