The car keeps its look, loses the AUX cable.

Hardwired 12V Bluetooth for factory and classic car stereos — hands-free calls, engine-start reconnection, no dash mods.

The car keeps its look, loses the AUX cable.

A hardwired Bluetooth receiver adds phone audio and hands-free calling to any car stereo with an aux input — including the factory head unit a classic car should keep. The receiver wires to switched 12V power and the aux/RCA input, hides behind the dash, and reconnects to your phone every time you start the engine.

It works in boats, ATVs and project cars too: anywhere 12V (or 24V) exists and a radio swap would ruin the original look. The blafili CAR even wakes the amplifier remotely through its remote-out wire when audio starts playing.

Factory look is the point Classic dashes stay original — the box hides behind the dash like a module, not a gadget.
Aux cables age badly Cables fall out, sockets wear. A paired radio link has no moving parts.
Calls need a mic Hands-free is a legal requirement — the module includes a mic and echo cancellation.

Three boxes, zero new cables.

Power that behaves

The difference between a clean install and a rattly one is the power tap. Ignition-switched 12V means the module sleeps when the key is off — no battery drain, no surprise reconnection loops at 3 a.m. A fuse tap on an accessory circuit keeps the factory loom intact and is the method we recommend over twisting into an existing wire. Boats and ATVs use the same receiver: 12–24V input covers both, and the module simply mounts somewhere dry.

Sound and calls

Feed the head unit’s aux input with the supplied RCA or 3.5mm cable and keep the run short. The CAR’s Bluetooth 5.2 radio reconnects to the last phone at engine start, usually before you have closed the door. Calls route through the external mic — mount it at the A-pillar or visor aimed at the driver and let echo cancellation do its work. One wire worth understanding is the blue remote-out: it is an output, not an input, and it wakes a separated amplifier the moment audio starts, which is exactly what boat and classic-car builds with hidden amps need.

The right box for this room.

Why the CAR. BT 5.2 with multipoint, 12–24V input range for cars, trucks and boats, dual RCA output, a supplied mic for hands-free calls, and a remote-out wire that wakes the amplifier on playback. Install time: about ten minutes with the dash half off.

Set up once, forget the box.

  1. Tap switched power. Ignition-switched 12V (a fuse tap is cleanest) so the module sleeps with the car.
  2. Feed the aux input. RCA or 3.5mm into the head unit; keep the run short and away from the ignition coil.
  3. Mount the mic. A-pillar or visor, pointed at the driver — echo cancellation does the rest.
  4. Pair once, drive forever. The phone reconnects on engine start; your passenger can take over with one tap.

Owners in the same seat.

★★★★★★★★★★

I replaced a USB powered bluetooth audio adapter with this one, what a difference! The old one was annoying to pair, always had static at low volume, and was low quality. This one is very easy to pair and has excellent audio quality. No static at low volume. I love it!
It is hard wired into the power system, so installation takes some work. But in my situation it was totally worth it.

Asked in this room.

How do I add Bluetooth to an old car stereo?

Wire a 12V Bluetooth receiver to switched power and the head unit’s aux input, mount the supplied mic, and pair your phone once — it reconnects every drive.

Will it drain the battery?

Not on switched power: the module sleeps when the ignition is off. A week of parking draws effectively nothing.

Does it work in a boat or ATV?

Yes — 12–24V input covers marine and powersport batteries; just mount the unit dry, behind the dash.

Can I keep the original radio?

That is the whole idea: the receiver feeds the factory aux input, so the original radio and its look stay untouched.
